Creating blogs and Wikis



Wiki is a Hawaiian word meaning fast. It is a page or collection of webpages where people can start a topic and share their ideas with other people or they can edit on a topic started before and delete as well. Also it creates a meaningful topic associations between different pages. It is up to the visitor making contributions to the creation and development of the site. In wikis anyone can make changes or edits on the postings but in blogs there is blog owner and other people can only comment on posts. Using wiki is very easy, you only log in and get a free account then you start to use it. The most famous one is Wikipedia which is an online encyclopedia. You can add, edit or change on it.

Blog is a web page where you can publish your video, pictures or writings. Blogs are social environment where people can communicate with each other. People can share their journals, audiofiles and comment on other people’s blogs. There are different types of blogs such as; personal blogs, corporate blogs, question blogs and by media type: vlog which is consisting of videos, linklog consisting of links, photoblog consisting of photos.
